She has reported for the business news desk at NPR in Washington, D.C. and spent her time in college reporting for the Red & Black and WUGA. Before joining the Lamar Dodd’s Studio Support team, she worked as the designer for the Oglethorpe Echo, a nonprofit local news project partnered with the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Alongside her work in journalism, Amy is a potter, photographer and musician exploring themes relating to individualism, isolation and collective consciousness in society. She is interested in the social, economic and political structures that shape our behavior, how we enforce or resist them, and how every person defines themselves within the bounds of their circumstances and perceptions.
