The Lyndon House Arts Center is seeking volunteers! There are ongoing opportunities to volunteer at the Arts Center, including:
After-School Youth Art Classes: Classes run from mid-January to mid-February and mid-March to mid-April. Classes meet once a week for six weeks and have students from either ages 4-7 or 8-11.
Family Saturday Art Workshops: These workshops are for all ages and are related to exhibitions on view in the Arts Center galleries. Workshops take place once or twice a month on a Saturday from 12 to 2PM.
Summer Art Camp: During June and July, volunteers can assist with Summer Art Camp for children ages 4-7 and 8-11. Camp runs Monday-Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
49th Juried Exhibition Opening Reception: The Lyndon House Arts Center’s annual juried exhibition will have an opening reception on March 12. Volunteers are asked to wear all black (if possible) and assist with setting up and cleaning up the event from 5-8PM.
Volunteers should have excellent organizational skills, basic computer skills, and should be comfortable interacting with the public and specifically with children as young as 5-years-old (and their parents/guardians). A background in art is not required.
The Globe is hosting a Market and Mingle event on August 11th from 1:00-6:00pm. We encourage new and returning students and faculty to stop by!
