Exhibition
This exhibit on the Lake Herrick Trail is the first event organized by the Outdoor/ Unframed Art Collective, a group of artists, musicians, scientists, performers, and educators who make site-specific art installations and performances on public trails
The collective aims to create meaningful connections between artists, nature, and the community by organizing temporary installations, performances, walks, and workshops in public natural spaces. It also seeks to foster an outdoor art practice that adapts to and collaborates with the environment and requires skills different from those commonly used in indoor studios and classrooms.
Although the woods are more complex and beautiful than any of our artwork, we believe art can help people slow down, renew their perception, and care for natural spaces in our community.
