Every Gift Makes a Difference

In the past 10 years, state funding has only supported 30% of the Lamar Dodd School of Art’s operational cost, and with this year’s budget cuts, assistance from the state has dropped to 20%.
 
Private gifts in the form of annual gifts and endowments fund the Art School’s critical programming for our students, including: Visiting Artist Lecture Series, Dodd Visiting Artist Chair, faculty travel and research, scholarships, supplies, and art student advocacy groups. 
 
As we call on you to include Lamar Dodd School of Art in your philanthropic priorities, we wanted to remind you why all gifts of every size matter by sharing the testimonies of students who have been impacted by private funding.
