The Lamar Dodd School of Art proudly presents INCANDESCENCE: BFA Fall 2025 Capstone Exhibition. The opening reception will be held Friday, November 21, from 5 to 7 pm in the Dodd Galleries of the school’s Main Art Building on East Campus. The exhibition will be on view through December 4th.
This show is organized by and showcases the work of 17 graduating BFA students. The opening reception of INCANDESCENCE is a free event and features an array of work, including video work, interdisciplinary art, textiles, drawing & painting, graphic design, sculpture, and more.
The works in this show were created by artists with varying practices. Dylan and Cole Williamson are working together to create a video with mysterious imagery that can be enjoyed on a vintage television set. Francie Carson is making work that focuses on their experiences of growing up as a queer person in the suburban South, they use a variety of disciplines in their work such as quilting, weaving, printmaking, drawing, and welding. We invite you to experience the exhibition to enjoy more works by emerging artists.
