Entangled Memories is an exhibit that features new works in clay by Dodd MFA candidate, Huey Lee. The works are manipulated to appear as if they were strings that are then shaped into everyday objects. The objects represents Lee’s investigation into his identity as it relates to history, trauma, and cultural differences. Reconstructing and re-configuring his memory into clay, Lee explores his relationship to objects to better interpret his lived experience.
Huey Lee was born and raised in South Korea. He trained to become a Korean traditional ceramic artisan at the Korea Ceramics Art high school. Lee worked at pottery and ceramic studios for several years and apprenticed under TaeGon Kim, Inchin Lee and the late Gil-bae Kim.
