Lamar Dodd School of Art launches new UGA Summer Art Camp

This summer, the Lamar Dodd School of Art launches the UGA Summer Art Camp, an immersive four-day journey into drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography. Tailored to high school students with a passion for the arts, this camp offers the opportunity to engage with UGA professors, graduate students, and fellow Georgia high school students.

Students are invited to seize the perfect opportunity to deepen their creativity, establish connections with faculty, and cultivate mentorships. Participants will get a glimpse into life as an emerging artist at the Lamar Dodd School of Art with access to state of the art facilities within a beautiful university campus in Athens, Georgia. The camp wraps up with a group exhibition at the school’s Dodd Galleries featuring artworks created by students throughout the week.
The 2024 UGA Summer Art Camp will take place June 24-27, 2024. All skill levels and backgrounds are welcome to apply! Students must be enrolled in high school in the fall of 2024 to qualify. Please note — this is not an overnight camp. For information regarding eligibility, fees, registration, and camp schedule, visit the UGA Summer Art Camp webpage here.
