The Lamar Dodd School of Art celebrates the work of 29 undergraduate students earning their degree in graphic design in the upcoming exhibition Detention to Detail, Graphic Design BFA Exit Show 2023. Detention to Detail features an array of graphic design work reflecting the students’ interests in both subject matter and style of design. Topics range from algae blooms, fast fashion, language loss, urban heat islands, mental resiliency, walkable cities, and everything in between. With a combination of unique branding, UI/UX, poster, and installation designs on display, the exhibition is a true showcase of each designer’s personality and areas of expertise.
An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 4, from 6 to 8 pm in the Lupin and Suite Galleries in the Lamar Dodd School of Art Main Building. The show will be on view through May 12 is free to attend.
Detention to Detail is named and themed after the Graphic Design cohort’s sense of creative ideation and the careful attention they pay to each project they work on. The combination of lighthearted youthful rebellion and the unique crafty style of doodles and stickers results in an exhibition that showcases the students’ expressive and individualized takes on design.
