Dodd MFA Jason Rafferty to Exhibit at Artfields

MFA candidate Jason Rafferty‘s painting “Persephone and Hermes in the Underworld” was accepted to exhibit at the large regional art competition Artfields, held in Lake City, SC. The annual competition offers over $100,000 in awards and exhibits over 400 artists from across the Southeast. The festival will take place April 23rd – May 1st (with social distancing guidelines in effect.) This is the second year Jason will be exhibiting at Artfields, having participated in the 2020 virtual exhibition.
Jason Rafferty is an artist and current MFA graduate student at the University of Georgia. Building upon his primary practice of drawing and oil painting, Jason’s recent work is comprised of mixed-media installations integrating digital printmaking, collage, photography and assemblage installations. He is interested in exploring narratives of chance occurrences in everyday life.
