The Lamar Dodd School of Art is pleased to announce that three new exhibitions will open at the Dodd Galleries on July 1st and run through August 30th.

Fountain featuring Athens-based artist, Jaime Bull, and New York-based artist, Melissa Brown, combines sculpture and painting to play with notions associated with fountains including the source from which inspiration spurts, to gush forth, and the intricate, purely decorative function of such architecture. Athens-based photographer Brittainy Lauback traveled on a Carnival Cruise this spring to create a new body of work that examines cruise culture in her solo exhibition, Liberty. Adam Sipe, a painter working in Brooklyn, presents a new series of small paintings that combine abstraction and figuration in the Suite Gallery entitled Ring Wren & Turtle.

Dodd Galleries will hold a reception for Brittiany Lauback: Liberty on Thursday, July 18th, 6-9 PM, with an artist talk at 7 PM. Melissa Brown and Jaime Bull will be in conversation on August 29th, 5:30 PM in auditorium S150 with a reception to follow. Adam Sipe will give a Lunch Time Gallery Talk on August 30th, 12 noon. All gallery events are free and open to the public.
