Professor of Drawing and Painting Joseph Norman currently has artwork on display at the University of Maryland’s David C. Driskell Center. The exhibition, The Last Ten Years: In Focus, showcases art and archive acquisitions made during the last decade to add to its expansive permanent collection of African, African American, and African Diasporic artwork.
Dodd Drawing and Painting Instructor Hatidza Mulic has recently had three major acomplishments including receiving a TEDxUGA presenter nomination. TEDxUGA will take the stage in Spring 2018 for what promises to be its biggest and best event yet. In addition, Mulic has obtained gallery representation in New York City, NY.

Associate Professor of Art History Nell Andrew was an invited speaker at the Blaffer Art Museum's Watch Out for Painting Conference last week in Houston. Dr. Andrew’s talk, Moving Modernism from Dance to Painting and Back, posed questions about a crisis in the medium of painting leading up to abstraction’s so-called “invention.”
