The first Annual Juried Student Exhibition includes 82 works selected from nearly 300 works by undergraduate and graduate students in the Lamar Dodd School of Art. Julian Cox, Curator of Photography at the High Museum in Atlanta, juried the exhibition and selected 3 Juror's Awards and 3 Honorable Mention Awards. The exhibition opened in Galleries 101 and 307 on October 23rd and will run through November 10th.
Julian Cox, Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art since April 2005, was associate curator in the department of photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Cox is a co-author of the critically acclaimed publication “Julia Margaret Cameron: The Complete Photographs” (2003). Prior to his curatorial positions in the United States, Cox worked at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford, England, and the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth.
