Julian Cox will serve as the juror of the first LDSOA student art exhibition. Both undergraduate and graduate students can submit two works to Gallery 101 from 12-4 on October 16,17, and 18th. The work will be juried by Cox on October 20th. The exhibition will open in Galleries 101 and 307 on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at 5 PM. Download prospectus and submission forms.

Julian Cox Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art since April 2005 was associate curator in the department of photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Cox is a co-author of the critically acclaimed publication “Julia Margaret Cameron: The Complete Photographs” (2003). Prior to his curatorial positions in the United States, Cox worked at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford, England, and the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth. He did graduate work at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, earning a Master of Philosophy degree in the history of photography in 1990. His Bachelor of Arts degree in art history was earned three years earlier from the University of Manchester, England.
